Understanding basics

This article solely focuses on the basic overview of google cloud.

Google Cloud Platform is a set of cloud computing services provided by Google that allows you to store, manage, and analyze data. It is also used for developing, deploying, and scaling applications on Google’s environment.

Google cloud offerings can be categorized broadly into:-

• Compute Storage

• BigData

• Machine Learning

• Application services for web, mobile, analytics, and back-end solutions.

Advantages of using GCP:-

• Good Documentation

• Durability

• Different storage classes

• Long retention period

• Life cycle management

The basic application development environments of google cloud can be listed as, app engine, google kubernetes engine (GKE)and compute engine whereas the various storage options provided by google cloud include, cloud storage, cloud SQL, cloud Bigtable and Firestore.

So this wraps up the basic of google cloud and is a very basic concept we must know about any cloud platform we are using.
